But seriously, I'm not sure. Find a lone cow or study the heard if possible before making a shot. A lot easier said than done. maybe someone else has a better way.

I have had a couple garmins now. I have the Oregon 450 witch I love. I highly recommend you stay away from the ones that have the topo map already in the unit. The scale is 100K in those units. Buy the map program with the 24k scale and the detail is much better. I don't know what you are willing to...

Thanks for the info. I am still waiting on a phone call from a local over there. Should hear from him this week. You got me thinking about coming in from the South as well. :-k

We have been recommended to come in from the North, but I think we will wander out the South when we need fuel and see how that is also.

Sounds like it is sixes either way.

Enjoy you new bow! Practice often, and find your effective range. Don't get caught up in the speed thing. With today's bows and carbon arrows it will shoot plenty fast and accurate for you. Good Luck!!

I am waiting on a call on a place to hang or process meat as well as taxidermy (if I am lucky enough) So when I get some info I can post it or PM you what I learn.
