Re: what type of daypacks does everybody prefer and whats in
I too recommend the Badlands packs. I have the Supper Day and love it. I even packed out a hind quarter of an elk with it!! No, it's not made for that but it did it twice. Also the best warranty by far. No questions asked total replacement. I know they are spendy , but worth every penny IMO.

Re: sending it back
Man that does suck. #-o I have the Expert,Cuddyback and get 6 to 8 weeks out of it. I also picked up a Bushnell Trophy Cam in the 8mp. I love it so far. I have had it out for 2 months now and the 8 AA batteries still say full! I have done video and 3 shot burst with great results. If you look around...

Re: For those string stops... which brand are you using
PhillyB My opinion is yes, to all you questions. It does quiet the bow and it does stop the string travel. I don't think any one brand is really better than the other. I have the one that Mathew's makes (Dead End by Arrow Web) because it came on my bow. The main benefit I can see is if you shot a bo...

Re: rangfinders?
Not to add more confusion, I have had the Leupold and now have the Nikon. Some would say I i took a step back. For me the Leupold had to many bells and whistles and was way to finicky. Way to many modes for my simple mind to deal with. I ended up with the rifle hunter version of the Nikon and I am a...

Re: Deer in the velvet
Thanks BOHNTR, Great info! My problem is being a long way from home. I might not be able to do as you say and get it to a taxidermist in a timely matter. I am going to do some home work on local taxidermist around our hunting area. I really hope I do have this problem because that means I got a good...

Re: Bow hunting the Book Cliffs?
Thanks bow hunter! No, we are not the road hunter types anyway. I understand we will obviously be doing some driving around checking areas. My plan is as you suggested to get there 2 day before season to have a little scouting time. We have through the Labor Day weekend to hunt. I really appreciate ...

Re: Battery life question
I have the Cuddyback Expert. It runs on 4 D cell batteries. I get 6 to 8 weeks on a set. The original battery compartment was a joke. I end up sending it in for the new and improved version and life is much better now. Sounds like I am more of the exception than the rule though. Hope that helps.

Re: Deer in the velvet
Thanks again. I will contact a taxidermist and see if I can get the tanning solution.
