Deer in the velvet
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to take care of a bucks antlers in velvet? :-k . I have never taken one, and have drawn a tag in Utah in the early season for archery. I'm Not sure how to care for it and transport it. Or is it even real on the mounts? As you can tell I am ignorant on ...

Looks like you have a hunting partner for life!! I been hunting archery with my dad for 20 years and now I am teaching my 8 year old as well. Enjoy every minute of it!! Congads to him!!

Thanks for the advise. That has been my biggest question. When to go. Do you go late and avoid crowds and hunt pushed deer, or go early and fight the mass of people?

Right on! I just checked mine out and got a bunch of black-tailed deer bucks in velvet and a few cow elk. I used video for the first time, it worked very well. Good luck! Hope the snow leaves for you soon!!

I second that. I use the G5 stryker. It fly's like a field point and has never come apart on me. I have shot several elk and never have had a complete pass through.
