Re: Very Cool Video - Check it out

Wow. Amazing footage. Some boomer bucks too. Goes to show you haw many nice bucks survive each year between predation, hunting, collisions, and natural selection.

Re: az elk draw results

6A Jr. cow elk hunt, great hunt for the kids! My older daughter drew that hunt a few years ago and killed a great tasty cow. PM me if you want approximate coordinates, but most of 6A will hold cow elk at that time.

Good luck on the hunt!

Re: Kids and hunting?

Here is an update. We have been shooting for the last 3 months at ranges up to 720 yards to get ready for the upcoming hunts. My 11 year old daughter can hit my 12" steel 9 out of 10 times at 503 yards with the .223, and 8 out of 10 times with the .250 Ackley out to 720 yards on a calm day. Hopes an...

Try www.reloadersnest.com in the rifle section under .300 Savage. I get tons of information for starting points for my reloading chores.

I agree, total torture. That is inhumane to have the NPS restrict removal of the sheds.

Re: Kids and hunting?

So...no deer tag for my daughter last year, but she drew a javelina tag and we have been scouting like crazy. She also has a turkey hunt in April/May. http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu142/lancetkenyon13/2014%20Javalina%20Season/045_zps0812a318.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu142/lancetk...

Re: TSX vs Accubond

TTSX fan here too. I shot my 2012 mulie buck at 488 yds. quartering with a .25-06 AI and a 100gr. TTSX @ 3598fps. The bullet entered the right shoulder, passed through taking out both lungs and exited the left hip. Buck did not take a single step. Calculations show the bullet should have still been ...

2013 Mixed Luck AZ Archery Buck

Started out the December 2013 archery hunt with decent hopes but no plans of hard hunting, as I had taken two weeks off at the end of the year from work to spend with the family for the holidays. I took a few days to start scouting with my 11 year old daughter for her upcoming javelina hunt in unit ...
