looking for a reputable caribou outfitter

Post by wyheadhunter » Wed Oct 03, 2007 2:09 pm

I would like to take my 72 year old dad on a caribou hunt up north somewhere this next year and was wondering if anyone might know a solid outfitter for such a venture. My dad dont get around so very good anymore, and with no more time than I have to accumulate funds I wont be able to afford a top end type of hunt. Any input would be much appreciated.

I booked with Shoshone Adventures and they are TOPPPP NOTCH.

We had to book 2 yars in advance so that will give you a idea of what kind of outfit they run (alot of return clients)They supply everything for fishing also.

Do your homework on other outfitters if you dont use these guys...I have heard tons of horror stories about other Bou Outfitters.

The camp we went to was Courageous Lakes Caribou Camp.

They are a little more than some others but make the trip worth it :thumb

PM me if you like and I can tell you about a few outfitters.

Good luck

Thanks for the info cvrn looks like a really hot spot to head. With my dads age and the way he seems to be able to do less and less each year I was kind of hoping to get something going for next year. I will try to make contact with them and see what they can offer. Would anybody else maybe have an outfitter that they feel good about?
