Nope, they are free-ranging, wild Ibex. No pen or high fence here (I would doubt that there would be any kind of high fenced operation in those mountains! Just as Hiker pointed out, the Florida Range is some rough, steep, and unforgiving country).

hmmmmmm , ya when he would try to set his trail camera up he could never find a good used trail?????????????? i wonder why :thumb WOW!!!

odd looking things ! wouldnt mind hunting one! the look like dummy to hunt. big time challenge though!

New Mexico also introduced two other exotic species some years ago, that are now in huntable numbers. They are the barbary sheep (aka audad) and Oryx (aka gemsbok). On my New Mexico antelope hunt earlier this fall, we saw oryx on a number of occasions, both on scouting trips and during the hunt. They are beautiful animals.

they are called PERSAIN IBEX from Iran.....beautiful animals...they can jump 30 feet from cliff to cliff!

they are found mostly on Florida Peak just near Deming...and outside the range also...

Agreed, all are beautiful animals and I would love to hunt any of them. They are pricey, but it beat heading half-way around the world to get one.
