Coloradobuck, I'd just drop the subject. I think the VAST majority of folks here do not look kindly to road huntin' (Just read the comments about this disturbing video made by other members of the site).

As an added point, it's illegal in most states to shoot from a rig, within certain distances from established roads (strand-off distances vary by state), carry a loaded weapon in a vehicle, etc. If you want to go on a public website and admit to possibly breaking numerous hunting laws/regs then that is your business...and a good way to be visited by folks who enforce those laws.

Personally, it's not "hunting" in my opinion. Scoutin', hikin', enjoyin' the countryside and the peacefulness of nature, and bustin' your rear is what huntings all about. Not driving around like your lookin' for a good burger joint.

That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and that's the last I'll comment on this subject.

In Colorado it is illegal to shoot from a vehicle and you must be at least 50 feet from the centerline of a public road. But if you ask me hunting from a vehicle is NOT hunting. I chased a great buck with my bow this year for 30 straight mornings. 175 main frame with matching cheaters. While I didn't get this great buck (came close, had him at 74 yards) I still had an incredible HUNT.

my grandpa used to road hunt cause he was missing both of his legs. but he still tried like burn to get out and walk. i remember a 5 or so years ago he was trying to walk though the snow and one of his fake legs came off. Hes passed away now but that was one of the most determined old men ive ever seen
