any of the center fire 22 call. will work great (22-250, 222, 223, 204) if your wanting the pelt. If you don't care, then the 06 will do just fine.

I use a .243 with a 75 grain hornady vmax reloads. It can reach out and touch something.
Must be mentally focused at all times!!

I shot my first one with 30-06 while elk hunting. Now I have a .223 just for coyote hunt if I ever get time to go.
