Do I have to pick just one?

Depends on what my plans are with the skin. If I don't want to deal with tanning it, I use me 270. If I want to make a little money I'll use a 22LR.

When I'm yote hunting......22-250 with a bull barrel. When I'm deer, elk and antelope or bear hunting and see a yote, I use a .300 Win. Mag. with 180 grain Nosler Partitions. The fur dealer doesn't want the ones that I shoot while big game hunting.......

223 but the best gun as long as you don't care about the hide is a 300 ultra mag. Holy crap that puts the smack down on em.

They've been killed with 22lr but its best to go with a smaller center fire caliber and the 30-06, Well the results wont be pretty.
. So if you wanna keep the fur go with smaller centerfire calibers. But if ya dont plan on keeping the pelt use your 06
