Geese! 1/25/07

Post by stick_man » Thu Jan 25, 2007 7:12 pm

Here are some pics I took tonight just as I got home. There must have been over 500 in this one field alone, with about 1200 total in the immediate area. Sorry about the pics, the camara isn't that great. I just wish there was shooting withing city limits for just a few minutes. The closest were about 20 yards or so from the road. I would have gotten out of the car to get some pics of them in the air, but decided to allow them to rest so other people could see them as well.

WOW, COOL! That is a ton of geese. I thought my flock of about 130 was big. :)

Thanks for the pictures.

Very cool. How would you have like to have a blind set up as all of them honkers came pouring down upon you.

Very cool.

Great pics! Can you imagine the effect a flock that size has on water quality in a small lake? I have heard that one goose is equal to 10 leaky septic tanks...makes me a little less anxious to go swimmin!
