Turkeys...
Turkeys...
Just returned from a turkey hunt in California. Had a great hunt this year. We killed 4 birds on the first day and 3 more on the third day.
Day one...
1 bow kill, 3 gun kills...
Day 3...
A triple bow kill from 2 separate blinds!
The set up...
The blinds are 15 yards apart. We were set up for less than 3 minutes when 3 birds came running in. When they got to the decoys I stopped them with a few quiet yelps. One of them strutted and stopped at 6 yards. Derek put an arrow in him and he went straight to the ground. The other 2 stood there at 6 yards while I drew back and shot my bird. Then my other son shot his bird from his blind at 16 yards. Three minutes from the time we popped the blinds up until we had 3 dead birds!

Looks like an awesome time. Congrats.
