It all depends on your set-up.
Are you setting up on a food plot or waterhole, or game trail?
If you are on a WH or food plot any cheap Digi will work because trigger speed will really not be a issue.
If you are on a game trail any cheap Digi will not work. You wilol need something with a faster trigger speed like a Cudde.

I would not buy anything but a homebuilt camera from someone who builds them. I have looked at the SwampGhost and Pixcontroller, that is what I will get next year.

I've built several from Pixcontroller, very happy with them.

9er,

This is my favorite one I've built....more expensive than the others but better. Used on ebay the camera costs about 140.00 bucks or so? see link...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-DSC-P41-Digita ... dZViewItem

The control board plus parts is probably around 50-60 bucks.

Case for the camera is probably 15.00

So your're looking at probably over 200.00 bucks for parts. It takes some time to build/put them together. Took me basically a full day on my first one, a little quicker on my next couple. But it's kinda slow, but fun of course. :)

Hope this helps.

I can get a pic of the the finished product and some pics off the camera itself if interested. It's a really nice setup.

9er,

Here is the outside after I built it, and the inside without the camera in it.

Could you use a film camera instead of a digi? Because I have a couple old film cameras that I could use.
