Fresh Trail Cam pics - 7/22/05

To much light for the Trail Cam to flash, so this is the result. Still cool though. :)

Just a little question. Is your camera pointing east or west? Do you get a lot of blank photos?

Nice pics BTW. I kind of like the first one, leaves the mystique of the muley

I point mine in all directions, the pic you like is actually pointing south. Watering hole pics are pointing west.

I get blank pics when I have bad placement. Meaning I have a branch, limb, weeds, etc. in front of the cam. When the winds blows that equals bad news. I had about 280 pics of nothing because of the wind and a branch of front of my cam I didn't realize.

I found out with mine that if it faced East, or West, the moving shadows would actually set it off. #-o I found this out after setting it up out side of camp, and watching it. (talk about a waste of time zzz ) for absolutly no reason at all, it would just take a photo. I then noticed by goign back over my blank photos that they happened either in the early morning, or late afternoon. I think I have found a new "honey hole" but won't be able to check for a week or so. [-o<

Azhunter,

Thanks for the info, I never thought of or realized that shadows could "set off" the camera. Don't think mine have yet, but maybe...something to consider. Good luck in your new spot.
