What cam stamps the temp, moon phase, date and time?

Post by avionguy » Mon Dec 04, 2006 9:11 pm

Anybody know what kind of trail cam is being used by Earlymorningpoker in Utah that stamps the temp, moon phase, date and time on the photo?

I PM'ed him, but have received no reply.

I saw his thread at http://www.muleymadness.com/forum/viewt ... highlight=

Thanks.

I spent several hours online this afternoon and found some answers.

Rileyhunter, you're right, the Moultrie Game Spy 200 3.1 is one of the cams that imprints time, date, location , temperature, and moon phase. It's $169.99 at Bass Pro, $149 at Wal-Mart. It's color!

A high end Promos Silent Image Digital Scouting Cam at $800 !!!!!!! does it as well. 1/10 second trigger time, IR, but only black and white images.

Two other impressive cams (with only date and time, tho') are the Leaf River IR Scouting Cam at $300 at Bass Pro and Cabela's. It apparently has an adjustable trigger time, but again, only black and white.

The Leaf River Digital Trail Scan Scouting Cam, $250 at Cabela's and I think Bass Pro, is color.

The reviews on all of the above indicate good battery life, unlike many other cams, including the Moultrie 4.1.

Maybe you can't have color with IR, I don't know.

My letter to Santa is going to ask for a Moultrie 200 from Wal-Mart. From my review, it appears to be the best cam for the $$, though opinions may vary.

I bought a Moultrie 200 3.1 last night at Bass Pro, where they kindly extended the sale price ($139.99) to me (which ended 12-4). Along with it, I bought a 6 v. rechargable battery, solar charger and plug in charger. I still need the one gig memory.

It'll be wrapped under the tree for me from Santa, so I'll look for some results after that.
