1st pics from Leafriver Game Camera

Post by MuleyMadness » Sun Jan 30, 2005 10:54 pm

Here is the 1st pics from my new Leafriver Model DC-1BU trail cam.

Coming to attack my camera

A real nice 6 point, with a broken left horn half way up.

little raghorn 4x5

4x5 in the snow

bigger bull with broken left side again

This bull was attacking my camera also, notice the barbed wire in his horns. Dumb things. They managed to knock or pry my trail cam off the post I had it on. Tied it down pretty good to, have to do a better job next time.

Thanks for looking hope you enjoyed. :)
Out of the 104 pics the cam took, I only got a few that really turned out. Pretty dissapointed, cause the elk were there. Most of them washed out or to dark. :( Oh well it was my 1st attempt.

Madness:

The ones that turned out, look pretty good! Lets see, you live down south, no snow there, you must have it hanging somewhere to the north?? Is the I suppose they are coming to eat off the hay? At least you seen someting, I had a friend put one in a location where I saw a big buck last year and all he got were does and people, believe it or not! That would be ok if you were the Forest Service, but people on a trail cam, please! Hope you continue to see success and keep the pics rollin' in! I know I love to see 'em!

Shedhunter,

Okay you got me, I really be disappointed if I had people in my cam. :(
bummer.

I'll should be able to get a bunch of deer pics this summer hopefully. These elk destroyed the fence to get to this hay, didn't make the owner to happy. But hey it's made for some cool pics anyway.

Mulester,

Yes a fine woman did give me that camera, and it definitely works. I miss her. :)

Hey Muley!

Loved the pics, especially the one with the falling snow! Keep at it!!
What does the camera go for? Did you look at any others? Atleast the people didn't take the camera!!!!!! How many pics can it hold?

Guest,

Who are you? :) Register a username already. :)
The camers was 300.00, I'm going to get another one, except build it this time. Can hold a truckload of pics depending on the size of the compact flash card. With a 512 mg card I could close to 1,000.

Scouting pics

Post by NMhntr » Mon Feb 14, 2005 7:09 pm

Hey MULEYMADNESS

I was thinking about buying the MC2-G scouting camera. It is not a digital camera but, I think for my ranch I don't really need a real high-tech expensive one. What do think about this scouting cam.

NMhntr,

Don't know anything about it, seems pretty cheap though. Remember you are paying money for film and developing though. Not sure it's worth it in the long run?
