Sage Chicken - Grouse?
I call them Sage Chickens is that the real name?
Anyway, finally got a good picture of one. Been trying for a bit, tougher than I thought.

Sage Grouse
Yeah, there are called sage grouse. I have participated in habitat studies here in Idaho on sage grouse. I have also trapped sage grouse, quite a hoot you should try it sometime. Here a picture I shot the other day of one.

Actually to be technically correct your picture is of a
Greater sage-grouse
there are now 2 different species
The Greater and the Gunnison found in the Gunnison basin of wester Colorado and around Monticello, Utah into Dove Creek CO.
