Tripods from S&S Archery?

Post by yemtig » Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:19 pm

Anyone use these carbon fiber tripods?? I must say that they look really nice and I really like the Slik 634pro on their website... Weighs in at just over 2 lbs... Once you install the pan head it would add another 1lb give or take (the one I am looking at is only 11 ounces!!)... For 3 lbs, carbon fiber and the options to even make it lighter and the various ways you can set it up, just wondering if its perfect for backcountry use, since every ounce counts to me... Anyone have and use one or have any suggestions for a tripod in the 200-300 range that is lightweight, solid for glassing, that will present a stable platform for me on my hunt? I was looking at the Bog-Pod tripods with the removable head and was thinking about using that for my shooting stixs and for my spotting scope. I just think the more solid the product, the easier it will be for me to glass efficiently... Need some suggestions to help guide me where to go on this issue....
