Binocular Eye piece cleaning

Post by Elko » Tue Sep 16, 2008 10:33 pm

I was just wondering if anybody had any good ideas on how to clean out the twist up eye piece on binoculars? Mine seem to have some dust in them so I don't want to lube them with anything or it will just stick even more. Can you use compressed air to blow it out or will it cause damage? Any ideas are appreciated.

On my old Burris set the eye cups would completely detach from the rest of the bino, so I would just take a rag to them. If they don't detach I would see if I couldn't get an old toothbrush or something like that in their and scrub them out.
