Hey hows everyone doing? I am new to muleymadness but have viewed this site many times. I live in Boise, Id and love hunting mule deer. I am having a hard time finding any good bucks. Most are 140 class nothing to impressive. I stick to the general 39 unit because its pretty much all i know that is close to home. If anyone knows the area or has info on neighboring units and would like to share, that would be awesome. I am glad to finally be a member and look forward to reading what everyone has to share.

IdMDHNTR,
Doing great thanks! I'm not much help to you either. Have some relatives in Boise, unfortunately they don't hunt. Hope someone out there can help you out though. Good to have you join the forum, WELCOME!

I heard there was some pretty good fires in 39 last year. Did they have any effect on where you hunt? I heard there was some pretty nice bucks in that unit as long as you were willing to hunt high and away from the roads.

Yeah there was a good fire in the summer. It burned a lot of winter area for the deer but they managed to move past it and find the lower unburnt areas but still not many big bucks came down.
