I had a similar thing happen in the 03 season. I had a opportunity at a Muley giving me about the same shot. He was a good buck about a 25". I chose not to shoot. One thing it was the first day of the season and I didn't want my season to end so early. And I had been climbing and short of breath. I thought I would get a better chance, never happened. Do I regret not shooting? Nope not a bit.

UH YES!!! that neck will look pretty big at 100 yards through a 9x scope. i would shoot without even thinking about thinking about it! do you think a buck like that, that has you pegged, is just gonna get up and stand there?

I have to say I wouldn't think twice about that shot. The way I see it I can see just enough of his neck and shoulders to get a well placed shot. And yes that neck will look huge through my scope as well.

With a rifle I think that I would shoot because I know that I would probably get another quick shot if I missed. With a Muzzleloader, I would wait.
Hey huntenfever, any word on that video yet?
Thanks
