Scouting Pics

Post by MuleyMadness » Sun Jul 03, 2005 4:49 pm

Got a chance to FINALLY get out this weekend. Found a real dandy buck, or at least I liked him. :)

pics taken, 7/1/05
Here is a decent buck 1st, looks like 4x2 right now. Should end up a 4x3?

Still a couple of more weeks of growth yet. :thumb

Looks to be a 6x7, can you see all the points.

Name him "BottleRocket" cause we found him on the 4th of July Weekend and he has 2 inline stickers on the left inside of his rack. Cool and unusual.

Did a little photo enhancement on this pic...

Thanks KAM

Brett:

Nice photos....looks like you found a little hidey hole! "Bottlerocket" is a sweet trash buck. Got to love all those extras. He looks to be a shooter for sure. You need to send an arrow his way.

Brett,

Those look like some dandy bucks! We didn't have a chance to look for the deer I have been watching, was hoping to check up on him this weekend but ended up going camping instead. On friday I took the day off and went and got my new truck :) :thumb

BOHNTR,

Good you checked back in! Looking forward to the end of the week, wyoming draw results should be posted by the 7th. Crossing fingers, toes and legs that I drew something. I still have back up plans if things fall through but it would be nice to draw something again this year. If nothing else at least a speed goat tag.
IT TAKES ALOT OF SACK TO BAG A BIG RACK

Wow! That's a great buck, and some great photos. Looks like it's time to get serious about scouting. Hard to believe the hunts start next month!!! :)

I wish I could tell you guys that I had a tag in this area. Truth of it is (sad truth) :>/ is that I don't. So I can't hunt where I found this stud.

I wish I could and would love to. I figured with the wet spring/winter we would have some better horn growth and get some better bucks. Water and feed wasn't the only factor of course.

I did find what appeared to be some other Dandy bucks, some bigger than him. (not necessarily more points) but wider, taller, and deeper forks.
They were so far out, hard to tell though. ???

I tried to video them, but couldn't see much, other than potiential.

I hope to get some more footage/closer in a couple of weeks.

Wish me 4c

Then again, I'd rather film a buck and watch them. That way hopefully he'll return the next year even bigger for me to enjoy. I simply love trying to get close to them get pictures. :)

I'll try and keep "dibs" on this guy and hope to have him for your viewing pleasure when he is finished growing.

WYMULEYMAN:

Oh, I'm still around. I like these types of posts (photos). Better than those childish type that was rampant a month or so ago on here. Seems much better now. =D>

Man, I hope you get drawn for your tag. We need some big ol' muley pics posted on here.

I'll be in Laramie next weekend for a short visit. I'll bring my camera and maybe get some photography action in. I'll definately enjoy the cooler weather.

I caught this guy on camera. Pretty decent buck and a pretty big body on him

There is a reason they call it Hunting, and not Killing :)
