Oh, yeah, the DFG website says they'll be posted Monday, but I guess they're up already! Anyways, no luck for me, just my regular old D6 tag. Now I just gotta start prayin for a big storm in October!!

Congratulations Roy! I'm very excited for you. More possible good news for you as well.....AZ G&F is seriously considering offering your longed-for Strip unit to a limited draw archery tag next year.... I'm not sure what season dates they are considering, perhaps Aug or Sept rather than the rut, but I would think your accumulated points might score that tag if you wanted to. Maybe we'll draw it together. I'm only putting in for really tough deer hunts this year because I AM going to kill a nice Coues this year during the early archery hunt!

Marvin:

I heard they were thinking of creating that hunt. That would be AWESOME. I would definatley burn my max points for a hunt up there. If we get drawn, we'll make a hunt out of it for sure!

In the 60s we lived near Monterey and then it was a two deer area open to any one who cared to by a license and tags. In 64 or 65 Dad killed the biggest buck anyone could remember,,,, a three point, weighed in a gargantuan 90 pounds.

I reckon that would be a polywog comapared to your toad.

Take care

Hitch:

Sorry for the confusion, this buck is not mine....it was simply shot in the unit I was drawn for to show what is possible from the unit. I could only wish for a buck of this caliber.....a 39" monster non-typical with UNREAL mass.

Hey BOHNTR,

I replied to the other post that you posted up, "calling all MM member" anyways I asked how the draws treated you this year, I guess this topic pretty much answers my question.

A very big Congrats!

Couldn't have happened to a better hunter!
