HEY MULEYSTALKER01, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LOOKING AT FOR AN IDAHO HUNT? ARCHERY, OR RIFLE. I HAVE A FREIND WHO DREW A GOAT TAG THIS YEAR AND RAN ACROSS A SWEET HONEY HOLE FOR A PACK IN TRIP. HE HAD SEVERAL 6X6 AND BIGGER SCREAMING AT HIM. HIS PROBLEM WAS THAT GOAT TAG IN HIS PACK. HE KNEW HE HAD TO STAY FOCUSED ON FILLING THAT TAG. LOOKS LIKE I'M HEADED BACK FOR SEPTEMBER 06' BOW HUNT FOR WAPITI.

That's a Dandy buck! Can't get over those eye guards! Congrats big time.

06' Wapati in ID with Bow....I'm in!! Is your little honey hole area a draw for non-resi's?

OVER THE COUNTER! GUARANTEED TAG. 7 MILE HIKE IN, STRAIGHT UP. THEN IT'S ALL DOWNHILL BACK TO THE TRUCKS. MY BUDDY COULD NOT BELEIVE THE BULLS RUNNING AROUND, AND NOT ANOTHER SOUL IN SITE! HOPEFULLY I'LL GET SOME GOOD PICS FROM OUR TRIPS IN THIS SUMMER. WE'RE LOOKING AT TAKING IN SOME SUPPLIES AND LEAVING SO WE HAVE LESS TO CARRY IN COME HUNTING SEASON. MAYBE FIND SOME SHEDS ALONG THE WAY.

sorrry it took awhile been real busy.I've been looking at maps and on the Idaho fish and game website. Looking for an area with huntable numbers of muledeer but with plenty of public land.maybe someplace where I can take another animal if lucky enough.I was looking at the clearwater, salmon, or upper snake regions.looking at untis 28,36b.any and all info would be helpful.

UNIT 27 HAS SOME GREAT HUNTING FOR ELK & DEER. BUT YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD TO GET AWAY FROM THE PRESSURE. IT IS A ROADLESS AREA, BUT 5-1O MILES IN YOU CAN GET KNEE DEEP IN MONSTER BULLS AND BOMBER BUCKS! LOOK OVER LOON CREEK, AND CHINA CREEK.
