killing a buck is nothing after what she had to fight through. congrats on the buck but more so for being a surviver.

They found Cancer a couple of months ago and he's driving 4 hours round trip to his radiation treatements every day, plus working a full time job. 69 years old and he's the strongest person i've ever known. Heck even with all of that he's still getting out for the deer hunt next week. He cant shoot his rifle, due to the 2 surgeries under his arm, so we're hoping to sneek in close enough to get one with a handgun. This hunting season is not about putting meat in the freezer, or a trophy on the wall, it's about spending time with dad.

Again, great story and a great buck. Tell your mom congrats, and I hope she continues to get better. God Bless.
79, it's amazing the tech. that they are coming up with these days! i hope everything goes as good for your dad. it reminds you how important time with your folks really is!. thanks for all the good coments!

Killer, please pass on a hearty CONGRATS to your mom from me! That is one heck of a buck!

Still out hunting here in WA. My son and I have seen a LOT of deer, blew two stalks...one on a great buck, the other a 3X4, and got within shooting distance of two smaller 3X3s but niether was big enough for us (We didn't want to spend a full day packing out a smaller buck. If we're gonna work, we're gonna work for a bigger buck).

We'll be back out there tomorrow but we're having a blast regardless.

Take care my friend!
