I actually ended up finding out that the taxi that did my dad's mount last year only charges $400. I ended up taking it to him the day before thanksgiving. He is in Weiser. I asked him if he thought the cape had spoiled and he said that the ears are usually the first place where the hair will start to "slip". He said my cape was in good shape and that it was jus t the blood on the inside that caused it to smell slightly sour and that he thought it shoudl be fine.

ANY GUESSES ON WHAT IT WILL SCORE? I have my own ideas, but I will have the Taxi tell me what he scores it at this weekend when I go meet with him to determine the position I want the buck mounted in.

Any suggestions on what you think would be a good looking mount position? I am thinking a sneak with ears cocked and head turned slightly to the deer's left. I like that it would not be as tall in the sneak position since I don't have very high ceilings.

I would say he is probably somewhere in the mid 180's. I would guess 186 5/8", he has good mass and dang good forks. Nice main beam as well!

Nice deer and great story!
IT TAKES ALOT OF SACK TO BAG A BIG RACK
