We hunted above Holden the first day and saw a few small bucks, but she passed on them. Sunday we went to church and then Monday morning we got up early and rode down to look in our alfalfa patches.
Nothing there so we headed out to the desert but on our way we saw about 15 head in a neighbors hay field. We stopped and Mary got out and went to the edge of the field the deer got jumpy and took off and the buck got way out in front of the others and she hit him first shot at about 200 yds on a dead run. The second shot was a miss and the third too, but she hit him good with both the 4th and 5th and he went down. So 5 running shots with 3 hits. Pretty good shooting. I am really proud of her.
My first buck was an 11 point (spike). So she really out did me. Later Treetop
