Another "Which one would you take?" pic..
This is a shot I took last march of Hokkaido Sika deer (Cervus nippon yesoensis) that inhabit the island I live on in Japan. I had a great day taking pics, but these two bulls really stick out. The one on the right is a tremendous typical. No hunter I have shown this picture to has ever seen a bull this size. Absolutley huge! The one on the left is a very very rare non-typical 7X8. Most hunters here have never even seen a non-typical much less one this big. Extremly rare! I was incredibly lucky to have had the chance to take these pics, even though it was at about 600 yards.
So the question is, well I'm sure you know...

I'm with ya Brett, I usually go for the non-tyipical (actually I've never had a chance during season) , but that one on the right is just HUGE! I probably would take too long deciding and I would end up with the one on the far right.
It`s hard to find bulls this size during season, but I think I'll do better this year than last. I bought a new pair of cross country skis with real seal skin on the bottom. Getting away from the roads is key here. I would love to trade a hunt here for a good deer or elk hunt back home!
