it is a canon rebel xti, with a canon 300mm f2.8 lens.

how close do you have to be to get such awesome pictures?

Close, ideally within 50 yards. these bucks went at it about 20-25 yards from me. Sometimes if they are farther out you can crop the image for web viewing and still make it look good.

I don't know how you do it Jeremy but out there on J.R. and B.F. you seem to always be in the right place at the right time for some pretty awesome pics. Maybe ill get lucky one day and cut your truck tracks and just follow you around out there lol
