2011 Muley!

Post by ElkHunter243 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 6:18 pm

Went back out to our property in Scofield this morning, I didn't get to go on the opener since I was working, but we hiked 6 miles! And it sure paid off!! This is the biggest buck I've ever shot and I'm dang proud :) He was 150 yards, running, I was shooting a 7mm mag (I know, wayyyy too big of a gun for that close and deer haha) 22 inch 4 point :)

Great deer! You are quite the killer little missy and sounds like a dang straight rifle shooter as well. Congrats to you and the first 10sign: 10sign: I've ever given.----------SS

Awesome buck! Good shootin too. And no way that rifle is too big for deer. Im using a 7mm mag for deer and elk this year as well as a 300 Weatherby necked down to 7mm, a 300WSM and a 300 Rem Ultra Mag necked up to .338 caliber shooting a 300grain bullet. If you shoot the rifle well, keep on shooting it!
Keep the wind in your face, hunt hard, shoot straight, kill clean.
