I have only been able to get out a few times so far this year and ran into a few good bucks but nothing great - including the guy who I hope to see again so bad. Guess I still have some looking around to do over the next 6 weeks.

Saw this guy a few weeks ago and he will be wide this year..

Hope you all enjoy.

Here are a few more this buck impressed me this time more than the first time I saw him.

I feel that he will only be a 170 ish buck and needs another year to grow but he sure has started out tall! What do the rest of you think is he a shooter or not? I had to hike in to take another look at him and plan on doing so again before the season opens.

Here are some more pics and a couple of video's from the past couple of times I have made it out. I plan on hiking in to see how the buck from my last post is coming along and am still looking for the ghost who lives in the dark timber...

If he makes it through the year this guy is showing good promise for next year. He has been hanging out with his twin brother I sure hope to see them return next year! Hard to tell from these pics but he is starting to get very deep forks for a young buck!

This guy would be hard to pass up even on opening day.

Thanks and good luck to you as well! Yea once the season's pan out we should talk.

Here are a few more from me and as it will be nice to hunt elk that last week of sept after they moved the season back I sure wish that our season for deer opened this weekend as I would like to go hunting this Sat!

I was able to hike into a basin that I thought would hold good bucks and found that there were several bucks that are starting to grow up.

Image

Only got one shot of these two before the sun hit my glass and the rest did not turn out but they and they both are shaping up well.

This group was on the other side of the basin and had one good buck in it.

Also a big forkey!

Then the next time out I went to check on a buck from last year that is now my new #1.. The video's are a long way off (mile to mile and a half) and the sun was in the scope but I think this guy is a solid 180 class buck. The video links are below.

Also another video of the same buck. This guy has my attention for sure!

the nice shot of the four point quartering toward the camera. Wow! that buck is gonna have a great front end. By the time his back forks catch up, he'll be a hog. Keep an eye on him, in a couple years, he'll go 190" if those front forks keep growing. Congrats on finding a bick of this caliber. =D>
