BOHNTR - mule deer by Scottsdale arizona?
Or anyone else who has any experience in Arizona.
My sister lives in Scottsdale, we were thinking about going to visit her after the first of the year.
So I was wondering if there is any decent otc archery (or rifle I guess) deer hunts around there? They aren't hunters so they're not much help!
Anybody have any ideas?

Can't help with the deer part but it might be worth looking into getting a javelina tag also if you have already paid the money for your hunting license.
Still some bird hunting going on then too if you are into that.

Live to hunt, hunt to live.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
the difference.

Unit 22 is just to the northeast.....and it holds mule deer. The archery only season will be open the entire month of January when the deer are in rut (first part of January). You can buy the tag and license at Walmart.
Here's some good info on areas for the unit:
Three Bar Wildlife area: Access is off Highway 188 from the Jake’s Corner area to the Roosevelt darn. The areas behind Tonto Basin have recently been burned but should provide good visibility for locating moving deer along and in the canyons. Whitetail deer also inhabit these areas so be sure of your identification before shooting.
