Don't mean to hijack the tread...so I will be quick.... I have been busy with work. I also moderate on a few different duck hunting forums. I usually kinda concentrate of on them birds in the winter. I am back for the summer and fall...bigbuck92 wrote:hey choclab were ya been i havent seen ya around here lately

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. That was my first trip down there....been wanting to for 10 years. I hunted with Rich LaRocco @ hunts.net. Can't say enough good things about him. I would love to post another picture or two but don't really know how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Physically is was one of the easier hunts I've been on. I didn't have to tradk the deer through the desert. High rack vehicles are probably the best way (as I did). This particular ranch was very flat, with nothing to get elevation to glass. There was a vast variety of brush and numerous trees which makes seeing them very difficult. The Mexican guides are unbelievable at seeing deer. Weather was absolutely perfect. Odds are I won't ever get a shot at a deer like this again, I would love to go back and try. It gets in your blood for sure, knowing there are some giant deer in that area.
