what buck would you shoot?

Post by camotac » Thu May 10, 2007 3:25 pm

If you saw two bucks standing togather and one was a typical 4X4 that net scored 220 and the other buck was a nontypical that net scored 250 what buck would you shoot and why? I would shoot the typical. :)) :1

I would be happy with either one but if I had to choose, I'd shoot the Typical. Why? a 220 typical buck is just a few inches short of the World record that was killed by Doug Burris in Colorado in 1972.

220" Typical is big, REALLY big. :)

I'd take the either, but I'm a sucker for extras so the non-typical would hit the dirt first.

well i'm going to picture the nontypical buck as haveing a 235 net typical frame with 15 inches of scoreable extras so i would shoot him, so maybe i would end up with the world record typicle deer with some kickers to boot! :333 but seriously-------- i think i might bag the typicle here for the same reason as hiker, thats so close to the world record. it would also depend on the look of both deer; all i'm asking is for a chance in real life to make that decision [-o< thats really not asking that much -is it???

Im with ox on this one if it was a nontyp with droppers and stickers and kickers... I would drop him first. And I never would regret it. When I scout every year I always tell me brother he can shoot the biggest typical we find and Ill go after the biggest non typ.
