Hunting muleys in southeast Utah

Post by davehaze » Sat Sep 08, 2007 5:01 am

Anyone ever hunt mule deer in southeast Utah? I'm looking for information on how much a nonresident buck mule deer archery tag costs and recommendations on where to hunt, rules and regs and where to get maps and such. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

only hunted down there once, so i'm not much help! but here is a link to the Utah DWR big game information http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/hunting/ that should help you with license cost , rules & regs.

Good luck to ya!

Need to go to http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/ and put in at the proper time. Non-resident cost has been around $268.00. Started hunting near Blanding/Monticello in 1967. You may not draw the 1st year you put in unless you archery hunt. If you choose to do so, you will not accumulate a preference point. If you go early, there is a Forest Service office in Monticello for maps, or pre buy one off the internet.
