My dads '08 doouble dropper pauns buck

Post by canyonhunter » Tue Nov 18, 2008 6:54 pm

Here's my dad's '08 Paunsagaunt double dropper buck. It is a 12x13, and is 31 in. wide. We called the buck the Milkman because of where he lived.

On the morning(I was in school :>/ )of the 6th day they drove up the road behind our camp. They got about 1 mile up the road and they seen the buck feeding on the side of the road. My dad slipped out and my cousin kept driving the rhino. The buck was heading into the trees so my dad had to shot then. It was 42 yards. At about 20 yards out the arrow clipped a branch and flew right over it's back ](*,) . That night they were coming back from a place called Robinson Canyon and were going to go up a place called blubber creek, but my dad decided to go back up that road. About 50 yards from where he missed him that morning the buck was standing there feeding. My dad slipped out and my cousin kept driving. My dad was watching the buck waiting for a shot when the buck bedded down on the opposite side of a pine tree at 75 yards. About 30 minutes later the buck got up and started feeding into the timber. My dad paralleled it as it walked through the trees. About 5 minutes before dark the buck stepped out in a little opening of the trees at 54 yards. My dad drew and shot. The buck took off and my cousin came running down the road. He said it sounded like a hit from where he was standing. they waited about 30 minutes but couldn't wait any longer. They went 75 yards from where the buck was when he shot and found the buck piled up. =D> 10sign:

Hey canyonhunter did your cousin also have a tag on the paunsaugunt this year? I had a tag down there this year and i swear i ran into your dad and your cousin on a rhino up by podunk creek? If it was them i watched your cousin shoot his buck up there and it was about a 30 inch 4x4 pretty heavy but fairly short tines but still a great buck. Also i believe he was driving a dark green toyota when i saw him on opening morning. I might be totally wrong also but your dad looks familiar. Let me know please because if it was them i would like to see some pictures of your cousins buck also.
