Wish I could say it was a Happy Thanksgiving spending it with family, but it was not. Though I have much to be very thankful for this was not really a great day for me. My wife has been in Texas with her family for the better part of this month to be with her mother as she goes through treatment for cancer.

It's not looking good. I am planning on being out there for Christmas as I'm afraid it may be her last one.

One good note for today: The dogs all ate like kings and queens as my dad and I deboned a couple of deer! A couple of rib bones each along with scraps here and there.

I truly wish everyone had a great day and realize what is truly important in life.
