i just took the original patern of the synthetic stock and layed on a peice of black walnut. traced it out. took a piece of hickory glued it on then took another piece of black walnut put it on the end then the cap on the bottom of the stock is oak. just used the router,dremel tool, sandpaper and a few other tools
