Califronia fires.

Post by a_bow_nut » Fri Oct 26, 2007 6:41 pm

ROY,

I hope that you and the rest of you MuleyMadness'ers are safe and sound out there while the state is on fire.

Some scary stuff for sure.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. My house is fine where I'm at, but all week long I've sent some of my squads to various fires to assist their agencies with evacuations and guard abandoned neighborhoods from looters. I've assisted on many fires over the years out here and this firestorm was UNREAL. The San Diego fire and the Running Springs fire (San Bernardino County) were two of the ones I saw first hand this week. SCARY stuff.

I'll tell you, put me up against an armed bad guy any day of the week.......those firefighters are crazy for what they do. They couldn't pay me enough money to mess with a firestorm like that. They were awesome and deserve a huge thanks from this law-dog.

I was wondering where all the california hunters were this year. normally they out number us down south, this year they were only about equal :) - All kidding aside i've got family in San Bernardino and a friend over there helping with the fires for a couple weeks. That's some nasty stuff going on, really unfortunate. I havent watched things first hand like BOHNTR - but I agree with him in saying those firefighters are some tough/brave dudes!

I thought the news said it was started by wind knocking down a power pole...now it's arson??

One of the fires was started by power lines.......however, several of the HUGE fires are believed to be arson.
