Wildfires!!

Post by MuleyMadness » Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:21 am

Here is what my state looks like...

http://www.utahfireinfo.gov/

What about your state, we are simple burning UP. Have ONE HUGE fire going and several other smaller ones. 2 deaths already from the one that has burned over 160,000 acres. GEESH!! :>/

Plus one is burning west of the Kaibab, bad for Mule Deer habitat there.

Gees, that's terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knock on wood, the land of Enchantment is pretty much fire free. I think one fire is burning in the NW corner of the state but it's pretty small and is under control...........

Any new word on the Milford Flat fire. I hear it is getting close to the Beaver Mountains. That would ruin my whole year as that is my hunting destination this year. Now I'm going to sweat it for sure.
I hunt Utah 'cause there's no deer in California!

Not to repeat myself...I posted this same thing in another string...but the area I love to hunt most was just hit this last weekend. 10,000+ acres burned! I haven't had a chance to check it out yet to see just what my favorite canyons look like and I'm keeping my fingures crossed that they are OK.

Good news...they arrested two idiots who started the fire by lighting off fireworks in the country! I hope they get what they deserve too!

The game will still be there guys. Some of my best hunts have been in burns. One year I had trees burning about 200 yards away and there were bucks walking all around me in the smoke. I also think the smoke was a good scent shield.
There's always next year
