I haven't been here for awhile, but it looks like this board is as good and friendly as ever.
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone here has used the Delorme 3D topo mapping program and if it's worth the cost (~$50). I've got a Tupperware container full of USFS maps, must have a couple hundred $$ worth of maps in there. I personally don't like the USGS maps, even though with all the detail, some of those maps haven't been updated since before I was born!!

i have it and love it! it's super cool, not only , like most topo's, can you use it for anywhere but.. it has a 3-d mode on it so you can literally go to a mountain and circle around the mountain like your in a helacopter, every draw, ridge, cliff, water, you name it. you just fly right over it. i use it alot!
