Question for you Montana Residents

As many of you know i'm moving out there in 2010 to spend the rest of my life well i have one question. . Here in NC we can carry a pistol openly without a CCW permit, and i was wondering can i do the same there as well. According to http://www.opencarry.org i can, but i was wanting hands-on info from ya'll. Ohh and if you do have a CCW or carry openly what kind of gun and caliber do you carry?.

You cant carry a loaded handgun in any town without a cc.City limts is off limits.BTW you dont need to carry a gun in town out here.

Well nonya i guessed the crime rate out yonder was a whole lot lower than my closest big city(charlotte)

just get your permit and then you can carry and not worry

Ive live here my whole life and I dont know anyone who has NEEDED a handgun for anything other than critters.

You dont need any liscence to carry a loaded handgun anywhere out where the critters might need to be shot.A concealed one wont do you any good if you did need it in a hurry,I wear a 357 when im in griz country.
