Pretty funny stuff

Post by m gardner » Fri Dec 04, 2009 5:36 am

I'm a "value added" employee now and setup, program and operate a couple CNC Machining Centers. One of the guys from assembly had little to do so we put him on a machining center. He was fairly intimidated by the thing. Thought it was smarter than he was. We told him all he had to do was load the parts correctly and it would do the rest. I was walking by the back of the machine and saw it was nearly finished with a cycle so I opened up the rear cleanout door. He opened the front door to change out parts and as he reached for the vise handle I quietly said "I wouldn't do that if I were you". He jumped back and stared at the computer controller like the artificial intelligence was giving him instructions. He was trying to figure it out and heard me laughing. Then he started laughing. Then he cussed me out!? Go figure. :-k Just had to share this one.

That's funny.

I work in a machine shop also and we like to sneek up behind the machines and start pounding on the back of the machine while it's running. I've had my fair share of wrenches thrown at me for my efforts but they haven't hit me yet.
