Nice Find

Post by waynedevore » Fri Dec 14, 2007 8:40 am

But, I would rather he be running around, shed his antlers. Then grow another bigger set. :thumb

I found this while shed hunting Jan 07.
On the North end of our property.

A closer look. Don't know what killed him. Most likely wounded from a hunter.
Tree Rats got to it pretty bad.

Killer thats what I thought. Would have been perfect to find the fresh sheds, then dream of how big a set he would carry by next Fall.

My first hunting memories are near or on that water. It's the Crow Wing River. Some great Wood Duck and Ruffed Grouse hunting.
Turns into a good size waterway and one of the Major tributaries of the Mississippi up in Northern MN.
