Crawdads anyone?

Post by NotEnufTags » Thu Aug 23, 2012 11:02 pm

We just got back from a fun weekend at flaming gorge. We caught about 160 crawdads and threw them in with crab boil, fresh corn cobs and baby red potatoes for one fine camping meal. Anybody else love a good crawdad meal.

Incidently on the drive home I saw a 24" vlvet fourpoint on someones wheeler on the side of the road. Archery bucks are true trophies.
"Some day I'll scout out a monster, spot him while hunting, make the stalk of a lifetime, and have dreams come true. 'Til then I'll be happy with the buck in my cross-hairs."

we just had one about a week ago, it was a first time for my wife and kids so they were a little reluctant to eat them, but they loved it!

Eat them every spring! Try tossing in some whole mushrooms next time, they really absorb the crap boil and are almost as good as the crawfish.
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.
