antelope unit 40

went down to unit 40 in idaho on my sons antelope hunt that opened today and didnt see one antelope, suprised me! anybody has any sujestions

Before the sun comes up, be on a high point that faces westward, and sit there with big binoculars set up on a tripod. Antelope are very easy to see early and late in the day if you're looking away from the sun. If you have good binoculars and put them on a tripod, you can literally see antelope up to a couple miles away. If you can't find antelope, that's what I'd do. I'd get where I can see as much country as possible,and look to the west at first light, and then look to the east at last light. Once you find them, then you can figure out how to hunt them.
