The wife and I have several antelope tags apiece plus cow/calf elk tags.

I've also got a cow BISON tag!

On 58? not really. Don't even know where it is off hand. On antelope hunting? Same things I always say. A 25-06 is about the best antelope cartridge made. Antelope aren't hard to kill. Ballistic tips were made for them and cup and core bullets work great too. Practice shooting from kneeling with sticks, in the wind. Don't shoot the first buck you see. There are plenty and it might take a while till you can recognize a really good one.

Got mine. And a Muley tag also.

Taking my Browning A-Bolt 25 WSSM for the antelope and Winchester 70 270 WSM for the Muley's.

This is new to me hunting. We have hunted elk in CO since 1985. Flatland antelope and mule deer will be a new experience. Looking forward to it.

L-Ray,
Why switch away from the 25WSSM? It would make an excellent muley rifle as well. I'd load a bullet from 100 to 120 gr and go with it for both animals. Just me.
