Muledeerrock, Welcome. Lots of Antelope in MT 700 region. Circle, and Terry, areas are good. Yup, mostly private land. What area are you thinking?

Those are good areas. 701 is all good Lope country, 705 is about half good antelope habitat, 700 is a bit rough, better Muley and Elk country. but still there are pockets with antelope. Do you have the BLM Maps? If not that's the first step. Then Get the Block Management information, available from The MT Fish Wildlife and Parks web site, after the 1st of August. [a must]

Lots of lopes and some good land in the block managment program, call F&G for BM maps,be prepared for combat hunting, those unlimited areas draw big crowds, stay low, dress in orange from head to toe and NEVER stay in one place for too long ,lol.I would take the first decent buck 12" + you get a shot at,thewy arnt producing big bucks from the reports i have een hearing over the last 3-4 years,my friends and their family go out there eery year to 701 and get their lopes every year but nothing i would call a trophy. :222

If your a walker and like getting at least a mile off the two tracks [better to be 2 or more] you will get away from at least 90% of the hunters.

There are large blocks of walk-in hunting only. Get in one of these. Walk, glass and stalk. The only way to hunt goats. or anything for that matter. :thumb
