Wyoming Elk help

Post by MTGriz » Thu Jul 19, 2007 10:40 am

I want to put in for some of the left-over areas for elk in WY, but I have no idea where my money would be best spent. The areas for bulls still availabe are 8, 84, 85 (Nov./Dec. hunt), 91, 94, 96, 97, and 125. Any info, help or anything constructive would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well all i can say is that if i was in your shoes i would put in for area 94,96 and 97 they hold some really good numbers of elk and some good bulls also that area up there is probably my favorite to hunt

Mossyoak24,
I saw a t-shirt in the market at Daniel Junction today,
"Daniel Juction, a tiny little drinking town with a huge hunting problem"

ive hunted the 94 unit .....its up high 10,000 ft. .....hope for a lot of snow or hunt water hole ......when i was there it was 75-80 during the day and nothing was moving.....is a great unit if enough snow falls to get the migration going.......
