Do you guys have any tips or technigues you you can share for hunting big bulls in the pinon country? I will draw a good archery tag and the country will be deep canyons full or junipers and pinon trees, then I can also hunt the aspens up above as well.

thanks

Find yourself a waterhole or a wallow and sit your butt down. I have had success in the past in the deserts here in Utah with just that. Shot elk out of a ground blind with nothing more than a cow pie covered mud hole to drink out of!

^^What all these guys have said^^... You want to find a fresh/heavily used watering hole/wallow or even one thats mostly dried up but its still muddy. You find one of those with fresh signs around then you'll see the elk. Good luck!!

I would agree with water, but I have absolutely no patience so I have never had success sitting water.

Use the cover to move in on Bulls, then call...With that type cover you're chasing 'sounds' more than glassing, just watch the wind and move...
