Nine mile range

I was hoping someone could tell me how hard the area is hit during the general archery elk hunt. My mother inlaw is getting surgery done 14th of august and she lives in East Carbon. She wants my wife to go and help her out. I was thinking instead of being stuck in the house with her all day I would try the area out. I wanted to check out north of sunnyside around the horse ridge area. Its my first year archery hunting so Im not looking for a trophy just a fun time and meat for the freezer.
